Arrived at exactly 10:30 when they are supposed to open. They were no set up yet. Waited 10 min while they finished setting up. Placed order. Waited another 15 min while the girl making my sub walked away from sandwich to do other things. Sandwich definately was not worth waiting for. Ordered light on the mayonnaise and it was smothered in it. One tiny piece of bacon on each half. $12 for a sandwich. I won't be back.
Freaking amazing tasting food!!!
They do take a little while to get the sandwiches out to you, but quality can't be rushed. Not going to deduct a star for that, but it's something they could improve on a little.
If you like hot sauces like I do, they have anywhere between 20 and 30 offerings at any given time, and they are rated on a scale of 1-10 so you know which should be within your range. I like very hot, but find their 8 and 9 star ratings to be the best balance of flavor and heat, and sometimes hotter than their 10 star sauces.
Fantastic sandwiches. Choice of three sizes, not the usual two. Subway and Quiznos were first and if used as the benchmark, Firehouse is several levels above. Their sandwiches are very different and unlike Subway and Quiznos, they don't all taste the same.
I really liked the vibe there. Felt homey, nice peeps and nice high ceilings. I went there by myself and like I could just hang there.
This place is amazingly good. I have tried a wide variety of the sandwiches offered here, and they have all been amazing. The staff is friendly, and quick to get you started. Their brisket sub is especially good and when you add the house BBQ sauce to it (Captain Sorensen's), the flavor absolutely goes over the top.
Great food! Slightly slow and could have a happier crew... But great subs love it :)
